Since 1967, on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, 2 April, International Children's Book Day (ICBD) has been celebrated to inspire a love of reading. It is promoted by IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) which is a non profit making organisation, formed in 1953 to bring children and books together.
Kids costumes for children's books are available from our website for anyone dressing up for ICBD
