It's Roald Dahl's birthday on 13th September and to celebrate, schools all over the country will be having book themed events surrounding Roald Dahl's fantastic books and characters, either close to his birthday or close to Roald Dahl's Dahlicious Dress Up day.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be focusing on some of the phizz whizzing costumes that Theatrical Threads sell which are suitable for children to wear for Roald Dahl themed events

The Enormous Crocodile!

One day an enormous crocodile goes tramping through the forest telling all the animals he's going to eat children. The animals tell him that it's a horrible thing to do but he tries to use his tricks to eat the tasty children nonetheless. The animals of the forest save the children and later on, a giant elephant finishes the crocodile off by swinging him around in the air by his tail and letting him go until he flies into the sky and crashes headlong into the Sun.

The Twits!

A hideous, vindictive, spiteful couple known as the Twits live together in a brick house without windows with their abused, mistreated family of pet monkeys, the Muggle-Wumps. The Muggle-Wumps are tired of being forced to stand on their heads by their owners (who believe that they can start a circus of monkeys that way) and with the help of the Roly-Poly Bird, they use Mr. Twit's powerful glue to attach the couple's furniture to the ceiling of their house, leaving the Muggle-Wumps free to escape.
