Roald Dahl's Marvelous Children's Charity
Have you heard of Roald Dahl's Marvelous Children's Charity
They believe that every child has the right to a good
quality of life, no matter how ill they are. So they raise money to support
individuals and organisations so that sick children can receive the highest
quality care, advice and support.
Whether that's through providing nurses, equipment, carers or toys, working with hospitals and care organisations or directly with patients, they try to improve the lives of seriously ill children in the UK.
Theatrical Threads think that's a marvellous thing to do and we hope you agree

Twitter Boosts for Small Businesses
Theatrical Threads regularly Blog, Share and Tweet our way through the day as we keep customers updated on both local and national events and those linked into the school curriculum such as Roald Dahl Day, this coming Friday
Whilst Twittering this last week, we came across Retweets from another lady entrepreneur, forwarded from two "Dragons" both with vested interests in small business start ups and who help promote small business stories through their own Twitter feeds.
The first is Dragon's Den entrepreneur, Theo Paphitis who created #SBS (Small Business Sunday) in October 2010. Every Sunday, between 5pm and 7:30pm Theo invites small businesses to tweet him and describe their business in one tweet including the all-important #SBS. Theo then chooses his favourite six who he then re-tweets on Monday evenings at 8.00pm and who are also added to theopaphitissbs.com
The second is Ann Summer's Chief Executive, Jacqueline Gold who has been championing women in business through her #WOW (Women on Wednesday) Tweets since June 2011, where she invites female entrepreneurs to tweet her between 1pm and 3pm on a Wednesday. Jacqueline then selects three favourites who's details are then retweeted out to her followers and who can display the #WOW symbol on their websites
Both host events for their winners during the course of the year and winners from both schemes have reported a huge increase in visits to their website after winning, with many also seeing an increase in sales. A number of the #WOW winners have also secured press coverage of their win, with pieces in numerous regional
In a time where so many small businesses are struggling due to the economic climate it is great to see that the "Big Guns" are still mindful of their own humble beginnings
