The calender is called Worldwide Celebration.

What Does The Fox Say?
It's Tuesday and in the packing department there's mild confusion as to why a stage manager for Children in Need would order two pairs of fox ears to be sent to Elstree, in readiness for a dress rehearsal on Thursday 14th November, when Children in Need on Friday 15th is so very obviously focused on bears!
The thought passed and the parcel was dispatched and on Friday night our Director was watching Children in Need on the television when a group called Ylvis took to the stage with some special guests to perform The Fox, all dressed in fox costumes.
As they danced and say their way through the number, there was much excitement as to how or when we were possibly going to see the fox ears we had sent to Elstree being used and as they got to the end of the number, there was none other than Sir Terry Wogan and Zoe Ball standing in front of the studio screen, wearing our fox ears.
Needless to say we are chuffed to have been involved in such an epic show as BBC Children in Need
Apologies for the poor picture quality but these images were taken on a mobile phone from the BBC footage of Children in Need on iplayer. We tweeted during the live show and said that if Zoe Ball could get a picture of her and Sir Terry on Twitter wearing their ears, we will donate £100 to Children in Need!! Watch this space!

Father Christmas Suit or Coat Costume
Is your child's primary school planning a Christmas Fair this year?
Why not dress up to surprise the children at your child's nursery school, or play Santa Claus at the school Christmas Fayre. You could even dress up and arrange to visit a group of local underprivileged kids.
You could make your children's Christmas the most magical yet by dressing up to play Father Christmas himself on Christmas Eve?
Theatrical Threads sell two very different but equally great Father Christmas costumes for playing Santa Claus as well as a wig, beard and gloves set to spruce up an existing Father Christmas costume.
Our Father Christmas costumes are well made from very good quality fabric and will last for many years.

Xtreme Scream Park!
If you live in the Midlands and love Halloween then why not book tickets for Twinlakes Theme Park Halloween events this year.
Twinlakes are staging their Family Scream Park events and, for the first time in 2013, a new attraction called Xtreme Scream!
Family Scream Park is open from 19th October until 3rd November with pumpkin carving, scary characters and creepy ghosts for all ages.
Xtreme Scream Park (over 12's only) is open on 11th, 12th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th and 27th October and features no less than five scare mazes including Curtains Chaos.
The Oxford Dictionary states that “Coulrophobia is the irrational fear of clowns.” Once inside this labyrinth of colour and noise you will discover that this phobia is not so irrational. Curtains Chaos is a sick and twisted fantasy overrun by rogue clowns. Are YOU ready for playtime?
Theatrical Threads are very pleased to have been involved in Twinlakes Halloween events this year, by supplying ex-hire clown costumes which the actors will be wearing.
So, Send in the Clowns... or in this case BEWARE of the clowns!
Twinlakes Park is situated at Melton Spinney Rd, Melton Mowbray Leicestershire LE14 4SB
Other Theme Parks in the UK also run Halloween themed events such as Thorpe Park's Fright Nights (#FrightNights) Chessington's Halloween Hocus Pocus and Alton Towers ScareFest (#ScareFest)
If you are visiting any Theme Park Halloween events this year, why not buy a Halloween mask from Theatrical Threads...

Roald Dahl's Marvelous Children's Charity
Have you heard of Roald Dahl's Marvelous Children's Charity
They believe that every child has the right to a good
quality of life, no matter how ill they are. So they raise money to support
individuals and organisations so that sick children can receive the highest
quality care, advice and support.
Whether that's through providing nurses, equipment, carers or toys, working with hospitals and care organisations or directly with patients, they try to improve the lives of seriously ill children in the UK.
Theatrical Threads think that's a marvellous thing to do and we hope you agree

Twitter Boosts for Small Businesses
Theatrical Threads regularly Blog, Share and Tweet our way through the day as we keep customers updated on both local and national events and those linked into the school curriculum such as Roald Dahl Day, this coming Friday
Whilst Twittering this last week, we came across Retweets from another lady entrepreneur, forwarded from two "Dragons" both with vested interests in small business start ups and who help promote small business stories through their own Twitter feeds.
The first is Dragon's Den entrepreneur, Theo Paphitis who created #SBS (Small Business Sunday) in October 2010. Every Sunday, between 5pm and 7:30pm Theo invites small businesses to tweet him and describe their business in one tweet including the all-important #SBS. Theo then chooses his favourite six who he then re-tweets on Monday evenings at 8.00pm and who are also added to theopaphitissbs.com
The second is Ann Summer's Chief Executive, Jacqueline Gold who has been championing women in business through her #WOW (Women on Wednesday) Tweets since June 2011, where she invites female entrepreneurs to tweet her between 1pm and 3pm on a Wednesday. Jacqueline then selects three favourites who's details are then retweeted out to her followers and who can display the #WOW symbol on their websites
Both host events for their winners during the course of the year and winners from both schemes have reported a huge increase in visits to their website after winning, with many also seeing an increase in sales. A number of the #WOW winners have also secured press coverage of their win, with pieces in numerous regional
In a time where so many small businesses are struggling due to the economic climate it is great to see that the "Big Guns" are still mindful of their own humble beginnings

New Chinese Dragons or Lions for hire
We are very excited to announce that we have two brand new Northern Chinese Lions currently being made especially for Theatrical Threads and they will be in the UK in time for the 2013/14 pantomime season.
Although referred to as Chinese Dragons, these stunning costumes are in fact male and female Chinese Lion costumes and they will be available to hire, either separately or as a pair for celebrations including Chinese New Year as well as for large scale theatre productions, photo shoots, promotional videos etc
Both costumes will be for two people and we will start to take bookings on the lions once we have a confirmed date for them to be in the UK, which we hope to be before the end of October 2013.
Our current Chinese Lion is also going to be given a costume makeover and will be made available at a cheaper rate once our new costumes have arrived to make him more affordable for smaller amateur theatre groups putting on products of Aladdin.
All 3 costumes will be available to collect or be transported by courier once the new costumes arrive.
